About Us

The aim of the RSPA is to support the school, parents and boys in a number of ways:

• Fundraising for extra items that will benefit pupils at Reading School
• Organising activities for parents to meet and socialise
• Providing a uniform shop for parents to buy and sell good quality second hand uniform items
• Arranging mock interviews in preparation for university selection
• Finding offers of work experience for boys prior to leaving school
• Organising careers conventions to help boys understand future opportunities
• Organising talks for parents to explain the new A-level exams and University application procedures
• Representation on the board of Governors of the School in helping direct its future
• Representation on the Reading Foundation

Association members may be sure of a warm welcome at all RSPA meetings and events. Please feel free to contact the Chairman or Secretary for details.
Information about RSPA events is sometimes emailed to members; please use the contact form linked to the left of this page to inform us of any changes to your email address. Your email address will only be used for RSPA purposes and will not be provided to any third parties.

Further information of these and other events will also be placed on the RSPA notice board which is located inside the main entrance of the school, (on the right hand side - opposite the Finance Office).

Association activities and the allocation of funds are discussed and put to the vote at PA meetings. All members are most welcome to attend. Printed Minutes of RSPA meetings are circulated to attendees. The latest minutes can be downloaded from this site.
